Audileo Partners with OpenStax, Launching Audio Textbooks to Make Learning More Accessible for All Students

Audileo is a new edtech startup that aims to make education more accessible through audio. In partnership with OpenStax, the world’s largest publisher of open educational resources (OER) at nonprofit Rice University, Audileo provides audio versions of their widely used digital OER textbooks. Audileo supports students who learn better by listening, especially those with dyslexia, ADHD, vision impairments, or busy lives. Our goal is simple: help students study in a way that works for them. By turning OpenStax’s high-quality textbooks into clear, engaging audiobooks, we offer a flexible way to learn, whether on the bus, at work, on a walk, or while caring for family.

“Our partnership with Audileo expands the ways OpenStax content can be used and consumed. Providing our peer-reviewed content in multiple formats gives educators more instructional flexibility and students more control over how (and when) they engage with their course materials. This is yet another meaningful step towards making relevant and effective learning accessible to all,” said Anthony Palmiotto, Director of Higher Education at OpenStax.

Audileo’s audiobooks are for sale on major platforms like Spotify, Audiobooks.com, Nook, and others. Local libraries may also provide them for free through the popular Libby/OverDrive app for anyone with a valid library card.

Titles currently available include American Government 3e/4e, Anatomy & Physiology 2e, Astronomy 2e, Business Ethics, Concepts of Biology, Introduction to Sociology 3e, U.S. History, Psychology 2e, and many more, with additional subjects added regularly.
